Below I gathered lists of games in two types: FOSS (free and open source) and commecial.

🎮FOSS Games

The FOSS term means not only no cost, but also Freedom, so:
– ability to learn, mod, fork, change or develop, copy, redistribute it – as much as you like or can (following License).
This not only deserves an own category but also needs to be above the commercial type, as it serves humanity, not companies’ profits.

In below list I gather most genres and most notable games in each (IMO biggest in bold). There are many games here which I didn’t play.

🎮Games

Here is a list of quite old commercial games I played and I think are worth mentioning. I rarely play any now, but still like watching videos.
I’ve gathered videos from them (and many others) in my Games Playlists.

• Car simulation
  Richard Burns Rally gone bankrupt, yet still active as RSF RBR
  Re-Volt still active as RVGL with plenty tracks and vehicles
  Colin McRae Rally 04, Carmageddon 2
• FPS
  Crysis, UT2004 (lots of maps, my playlist), Quake III Arena
  Quake, still active, my playlist with maps
• Various and 2D
  Noita (videos), Trine 2 (video), Magicka, Legend of Grimrock II,
  Jets’n’Guns, Gish, World of Goo, Crazy Machines 1 and 2
• ARPG: Path of Exile (utter waste of time, gambling infested, colorful vending machine with vacuum cleaner type of gameplay),
  Titan Quest (at least had an end, yet many DLCs after)

• Longplays of old 90s games.
  Many grouped in my playlists by type:

  Dune 2 a very old RTS, had mods super-dune-ii-classic, dune-2-extended, and many reimplementations e.g. Dune2 TGP, Dune2 The Maker (FOSS), etc.
